5 killed as van collides with truck

Two children were among five persons killed today when the van they were travelling in collided with a truck on the Hasanpur-Rahra road in the Azampur police station area here.

Two other women were also killed in the mishap in which eight persons were injured. The injured have been admitted in a local hospital.

According to Amroha SP SS Baghel, locals said that the over-crowded van collided with the truck after its driver seemingly lost control of the vehicle.

Police are yet to lodge an FIR in the matter, Baghel added.
