55 cattle seized, two held

Police seized 55 cattle being smuggled to Uttar Pradesh and arrested two persons in connection with it from NH-28 in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district today.

During a routine patrolling at Motipur chowk, the police intercepted two trucks, seized the cattle and arrested the driver and cleaner of one of the trucks, Motipur police station in-charge Amit Kumar said.

The cattle were being smuggled to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh from Supaul in Bihar by trucks, he said.
