A six-year-old girl lost her nose when a landlord let loose his dog on her after she entered his agricultural fields in Pakistan's Punjab province, police officials said today.
According to police, the landlord unleashed his dogs on some children who entered his fields cultivated with onions in Jatoi area of Muzaffarghar, 400-km from Lahore, about two weeks ago.
Six-year-old Zubaida fell while running and was attacked by a dog. She was rescued by some local residents, who took her to a nearby health centre.

Zubaida was later shifted to Nishter Hospital in Multan, where doctors said she would have to undergo plastic surgery.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident after it was reported by TV news channels.
He directed the police chief of Multan district to investigate the matter.
