78 new settler homes approved for east Jerusalem: municipality

The Jerusalem municipality said it approved today the construction of 78 new homes for Jewish settlers in two neighbourhoods of occupied Arab east Jerusalem.
The announcement comes with tensions in the Holy City at the highest in years, partly over Palestinian objections to Jewish settlers moving in.
Municipal spokeswoman Brachie Sprung said 50 homes will be built in Har Homa and 28 in Ramot.
