Eight persons, including a woman, were injured in firing after a clash broke out between two groups over possession of land today at Shahwala village near here, police said.
During the clash, one group fired gunshots injuring eight persons.
Palo, one of those injured seriously, has been referred to a private hospital at Jalandhar and her condition is stated to be critical, police said.
The clash between two groups broke out over possession of six marlas (approximately 1,632 sq ft) of the village land, police said.
The remaining injured persons have been admitted to a hospital at Sultanpur Lodhi near here and are stated to be of danger, police said.
A case has been registered under various sections of the IPC, police said.
