Abdul Khader Haji appointed Lakshadweep BJP chief

BJP President Amit Shah has appointed Abdul Khader Haji as chief of the party's Lakshadweep unit.

While Haji will be president of the unit, Syed Mohd Koya has been appointed as state general secretary, the BJP said in a statement.

Haji has replaced K P Muthukoya as the head of the Lakshadweep unit, who held the position for the last 17 years.
