�Nearly 100 people took ill after consuming food during a spiritual programme at a village temple in Krishna district, a health official said today.
Over 1,000 people had consumed food at Annasamaradhana programme, held in a temple at Perikepadu village under Pamarru mandal last night, district medical and health officer J Sarasajakshi told PTI.
Sometime later, over 100 people developed diarrhoea symptoms.

The food inspectors collected the samples and sent them to laboratory to ascertain the exact cause of food poisoning, she said.
Around 60 people were admitted in various hospitals at Pamarru and others were�being treated at medical camps in Pasamarru and Jujjavaram villages.
The patients were out of danger and recuperating, the health officer added.
