Advocates strike over "ill-treatment" by judicial magistrates

Advocates at district courts here went for a day-long strike today alleging ill-treatment by Judicial Magistrates.

"There are several complaints from advocates about bad behaviour of Judicial Magistrates. Protesting against this we have decided to go in for a strike today," secretary Gautam Budh Nagar District Court Civil and Criminal Bar Association Sardar Singh Bansal said.

A meeting has been called on Monday to decide their future course of action, he said.

Court management, however, denied the allegation.
