Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today alleged that Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur was defaming NRIs in an attempt to camouflage the party's funding by some radicals sitting abroad.
Party MP and general secretary Prem Singh Chandumajra claimed SAD has succeeded in getting names of innocent NRIs struck off from the blacklist of the Union government but at the same time the party had a clear stand against radical elements who were trying to pull Punjab back into the black era.
He alleged that after 2014 parliamentary polls most of these radical elements not only made connections with the AAP leadership but also started funding them to gain power in the state.

Asking Chhotepur not to use the term NRI as a synonym for radicals, Chandumajra said SAD will not allow him to play politics at the cost of NRIs.
"Now Chhotepur's attempt to use NRI as synonym for radicals will create a security clearance challenge for all Punjabi NRIs on their arrival on Indian airports," he claimed.
Chandumajra said party has gathered many proofs of connections between AAP leadership and radicals sitting abroad.
He said AAP had followed its parent party Congress' policy of divide and rule but SAD will soon make all these proofs public to expose AAP's designs of disturbing peace and harmony in the state.
