National carrier Air India today said it will expand its operations in Gujarat with the launch of a daily direct service from February 23.
In addition, the carrier would also enhance connectivity on the Surat-Delhi sector with six flights a week from three at present.
With this scaled up operation, Air India would offer an increased capacity of 840 seats on the Surat route, the airline said in a release.

With the operation of this flight, Rajkot will be connected directly to Delhi and Mumbai and a passenger travelling to Rajkot in the morning can now also return to Delhi via Mumbai the same day evening, the airline said.
