A 17-year-old boy, who was preparing for AIPMT exam, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself as he was stressed due to studies in Mahaveernagar area here, police said today.
Tarachand, a resident of Sojat in Pali district, allegedly committed suicide yesterday noon by hanging himself from the ceiling of his rented room here, Investigation Officer ASI Krishan Kumar said.
Tarachand's landlord said that the teenager's room remained locked from inside till evening following which police broke open the room and recovered the body, he said.

He had been taking coaching for All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) entrance exam in a coaching institute here for last three months, the ASI said.
The teenager left a suicide note in the messaging folder of his mobile in which he sought apology from his parents for his "inability to fulfill their dream of becoming a doctor".
He was likely under severe stress of studies which led him to the extreme step. The exact reason of the suicide can be ascertained only after the investigation is over, the ASI said.
Opon the request of the teenager's parents, the body was handed over to them last night, Kumar said.
A case has been registered under section 174 (police to enquire and report on suicide) of the CrPC, Kumar added.
The recent report of National Crime Record Bureau reveals the 44 suicides have been recorded in Kota, the highest number of suicide cases in 2014, with an alarming rise of 61.3 per cent.
