Alexis Arquette died from cardiac arrest

Actress Alexis Arquette passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest, her death certificate reveals.

The transgender actress, who died on September 11, was also battling HIV for 29 years. She was 47.

Whilst the death certificate listed a cardiac arrest as the cause of death, it also noted Arquette had suffered a bacterial infection just three weeks before she passed away, TMZ reported.

The news of the actress' tragic passing was announced by her brother Richmond on Facebook.
