Allot Nataud land to 2014 flash floods victims: HP CM

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today directed the Lahaul-Spiti district administration to rehabilitate the people of Changut, who have been occupying the government land after 2014 flash floods washed away their entire village, by allotting them Nataud land.

Addressing a public meeting at Chhaling in Mayyad valley of tribal Lahauland Spiti after inaugurating the Chhaling bridge over Mayyad rivulet at Tingrit, he said the villagers were forced to occupy the government land and they should be given Nataud land.

Singh also directed the officials to restore electricity in the area.

He asked authorities to speed up the construction of bridges in Mayyad Valley and complete them within the stipulated period.
 

He said out of total 28 panchayats in Lahaul valley, 27 have already been connected with roads and the Nalda panchayat would also get road connectivity when the construction of the bridge is complete.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Indoor Gymnasium in Udaipur. Later, he also inaugurated VIP Annexe building of PWD guest house.
