Megastar Amitabh Bachchan wished good luck to the team of upcoming film "Azhar".

The 73-year-old "Wazir" actor took to Twitter to give best wishes.

"Sony Pictures that partnered us on 'PIKU' now bring out another... "AZHAR". My wishes for its success as ever... A biopic," Bachchan tweeted.

Directed by Tony DSouza and starring Emraan Hashmi in the the titular role, "Azhar" chronicles the life of former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin, who was implicated in a cricket match-fixing scandal in 2000, and banned by BCCI for life.

In 2012, however, the Andhra Pradesh High Court lifted the ban, describing it as "unsustainable".

The movie also stars Nargis Fakhri, who will be seen in the role of Azharuddin's second wife and former actress Sangeeta Bijalni, and Prachi Desai as the sportsman's first wife Naureen.

"Azhar" will arrive in theatres this Friday, May 13.
