'Arrow' star John Barrowman upped to series regular

Actor John Barrowman will continue to appear on "Arrow" and also other DC shows on the network including "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow".

Barrowman, who plays Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer on the action television show, has been promoted as a series regular, not only on the Stephen Amell-headlined series, but also on other superhero shows, reported Aceshowbiz.

The 49-year-old recurred on the first two seasons of "Arrow" before being promoted. Barrowman also appeared in an episode of "The Flash" season 4.

"The Flash" and "Legends" star Wentworth Miller previously struck the same deal at the end of the first season of "Legends".
