Art of Living giving stress on organic farming: Ravi Shankar

Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar today said the Art of Living is giving stress on organic farming.

"We are focusing upon organic farming. People are being trained," he said.

In an informal talk with a select group of journalists, Ravi Shankar said a big change would come if every pillar, including non-governmental organizations and political parties jointly, work jointly.

He said work was going on in naxal-affected places in Jharkhand

The Art of Living (AOL) founder said the focus of the AOL was was on social projects.

He said the Art if Living is spread across 155 countries.

Responding to a query on the rise of social media, Ravi Shankar said someway social media has strengthened (the mainstream media).
 

"Having said that social media is very good to express," he said and added that abuse should not be there.

He also congratulated media houses for their pro- active role, be it covering floods and taking social responsibility.
