Association expresses disappointment over railway budget

The Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) today expressed disappointment over the Railway Minister M Mallikarjun Kharge failure to consider the long pending request of the region for introduction of train services between Coimbatore and Bangalore.
Reacting to the interim railway budget, A.Shakthivel, President of the Association welcomed setting up of Rail Tariff Authority and no increase in passenger fare and freight rates.
However, there was no specific announcement on infrastructure development for this region, he said.
