Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court today posted to November 11 bail pleas of three engineering students who were arrested in connection with the murder of their principal on the college campus in Tuticorin district last month.
The three students approached the court praying that they be granted bail to appear for the semester exams. They said their future will be spoiled and they would be put to irreparable loss if they were not allowed to take the exams.
Hearing the plea, Justice C T Selvam posted it for Monday.
Suresh (55), principal of Infant Jesus College of Engineering at Vallanadu in Tuticorin district was hacked to death on October 10 allegedly by the three students who were ordered to vacate the hostel on grounds of indiscipline.
