Barman takes over as Director of National Police Academy

Senior IPS officer D R Doley Barman today took over as the Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy here.

According to an official release Barman belongs to Jammu and Kashmir cadre of 1986 batch of IPS.

"Mrs. Doley Barman will hold the dual charges of Director, North East Police Academy (NEPA), Shillong, Meghalaya and the SVP National Police Academy for the present," it said.

She has held several important posts in Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and also in Centre. She is a recipient of Sher-e-Kashmir Medal for Meritorious Service, Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service and the President's Medal for Distinguished Service, it added.
