Barpeta ASP's domestic aide commits suicide

Barpeta district Additional Superintendent of Police Sushanta Biswa Sarma's male house help allegedly committed suicide in the police officer's residence here today.

The domestic aide identified as Sudhangshu Hajong of Hathsingimari in Goalpara district was found hanging in the police officer's exercise room after he had breakfast, Sarma said.

The cause of the suicide was not immediately ascertained and investigations were on, he said.

Hajong, an orphan, was with the Additional SP since he was posted in Goalpara a few years ago, Sarma added.
