BDO arrested for accepting bribe in UP

A block development officer (BDO) was today caught red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 in his office here, officials said.

The Gram Pradhan of Hadiyagada, Ram Murti Singh and others had complained to vigilance department that BDO of Haldharmau, M P Prabal was demanding money for some official work, they said.

Vigilance officials from Faizabad laid a trap and arrested him this afternoon for demanding and accepting bribe, they said.
