Emphasising that organisation was bigger than individuals, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today said that though many have various designations in the Sangh, all are volunteers.
"Somebody has been made Sarsanghchalak or Sanghchalak can be the viewpoint for others. Here we are are all (swayamsewak) volunteers," Bhagwat said at an event where a 'pracharak' Chiranjeev Singh was felicitated.
Bhagwat also recounted an incident where former RSS chief M S Golwalkar had to bow to the wishes of others in the organisation and be part of an event he was not keen about.

The RSS chief also said that freedom fighter and spiritual leader Vinoba Bhave had once stated that while he was known to be associated with a different ideology, his character "was like that of swayamsewaks".
Bhagwat said 'pracharaks' of RSS come to serve the organisation without seeking anything. A Sangh pracharak, he said, only gives to the organisation, and seeks nothing for himself.
