Bhajan Pratap Singh assumed the office of Member of Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) today after he was administered the 'oath of secrecy' and 'oath of allegiance' to the Constitution by Delhi's Lt Governor Najeeb Jung.
Singh has been appointed as new member of DERC on the recommendation of the selection committee constituted under Section 85 of the Electricity Act, 2003.
Singh has 38 years experience in the Indian Power and Engergy sector and has worked at various senior level positions in National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC).
He retired as the Director (Projects) from NTPC in September in 2013.
