BJP collecting relief material for U'khand flood victims

Delhi BJP today said it is organising a relief camp to collect clothes and medicines for flood victims in Uttarakhand.

"We are collecting clothes, medicines and other essential items at our state party office to be dispatched to Uttarakhand in batches," said Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel.

The party has already sent two trucks of relief material to Uttarakhand, he said.

"We also appeal to Delhi government to arrange for buses and aircrafts like other states to bring back Delhiites stranded at relief camps," said Goel.

"It should be the government's responsibility to initiate such actions on their own," he added.
