Congress general secretary and Rajasthan in-charge Gurudas Kamat today alleged that the BJP that was mandated to solve peoples problem has started "exploiting" them with its policies.

"The BJP had promised the sky before coming into power, but the promises are distant reality," he said at the Janvedna Sammelan in Udaipur.

Demonetisation has hammered the country's economy and people are facing problems due to the Centre's decision, Kamat claimed, adding there was no one in the BJP to hear the masses plight.

Stating that demonetisation has resulted in unemployment, he said, it has "broken the spine of the common man".

The BJP government has created an environment of "fear" and "distrust", Kamat alleged.

"People do not believe in government, banking and currency. We are trying to support the peoples voice against such an uncalled decision," Pilot said.

"The move has fueled corruption. There is rise in terrorist activities. Demonetisation has failed has failed and the government has started talking about a cashless economy," Pilot alleged.

The reality is that 45 per cent villages in the country do not have banks, Pilot claimed.

Taking a dig at the state government's three year celebration, he said it is a "flop show" and people are maintaining a distance from it.

"It clarifies that people are fed up with the BJP's mis-governance in the state," he said, alleging that the state government is "misusing public money for its celebration whereas children are dying of starvation in Rajasthan".

Congress MP Deependra Singh Hooda said the BJP government had promised 'Acche Din' (good days) by making promises far from reality and it is unfortunate for people that the government forced them to deposit their hard earned money in banks.
