BJP to connect with intellectual class in UP

In its attempt to connect with the intellectual class in Uttar Pradesh and bring them into the party's fold, BJP will launch a special drive between December 25 to December 31.

"During the week-long campaign, litterateurs, professors, teachers, retired IAS officers, administrative officers, engineers, doctors and CAs will be associated with the party in all the 2,400 mandals of UP," party spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.

A membership drive is already on in the state.

He said that in districts, mandal-level office bearers will make efforts to connect with at least 100 members of intellectual class.
