Body of Dalit man found in canal in UP's Muzaffarnagar

The body of a Dalit man, who was missing since May 1, was found floating in Ganga canal here, police said on Tuesday.

The body had injury marks and it is suspected that the man - Vinit Kumar (19) - was murdered and his body dumped into the canal, police said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

The victim's family has alleged that he was murdered, police added.
