Body of man found from hotel room in Ambala

The body of a 32-year-old man was today found in mysterious circumstances in a hotel of the Ambala Cantonment, police said.

The deceased, identified as Parvinder Singh, was a resident of Khanna in Punjab, they said.

Parvinder had checked into the hotel last night, they said, adding a woman was also accompanying him.

The employees of the hotel found him dead in a room early this morning and the woman was missing, they said.

The matter was reported to the police by the hotel staff later, the police said.

They said a case has been registered under relevant provisions of the law and further investigations were underway.
 

"The cause of the death would be known after the postmortem examination," a police official said.
