Boy stabbed to death for refusing to buy cigarette packet

A 14-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death by four persons for refusing to buy a packet of cigarettes for them, in Wazirpur area of north-west Delhi.

Ranjan and his friend was walking in a park in JJ colony yesterday evening when the four, who were consuming alcohol, asked them to buy a cigarette packet from a nearby shop. When the two boys refused, the accused started beating them with sticks. The two boys started running, but the men caught Ranjan and stabbed him multiple times and fled the spot, a senior police officer said.

Later, Ranjan was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead. Ranjan's friend also suffered injuries on his head. But, he is now out of danger," the officer said.
 

Two of the accused have been arrested while hunt is on for two others who are on the run, police said.
