Boys drown in pond

Two ten-year-old children

drowned in a pond today while bathing at Nischinda in Howrah district, the police said.

Sandip Hati and his friend Rahul Majumdar drowned in a pond at Madhyagram when bathing.

Villagers fished out the bodies from the pond.

In a separate incident in the district, Mujibar Rahaman died on the spot on Kona Expressway after his motorcycle was hit by a trailer when he was returning home at Amta from Kolkata.
