Britain's Craig Reedie elected WADA president

Craig Reedie has been elected president of the World Anti-Doping Agency.

The IOC vice president from Britain was the only candidate to succeed former Australian politician John Fahey. He was elected unanimously at WADA's foundation board meeting at the World Conference on Doping in Sport today.

Makhenkesi Stofile of South Africa was elected vice president, also unopposed. Both men will take office on January 1 and will serve two-year terms.

Reedie is the former head of the British Olympic Association and the International Badminton Federation. Stofile is a former minister of sport in South Africa and is currently his country's ambassador to Germany.
