Brown sugar seized

around Rs 47 lakh in the international market was seized and a man and his mother were arrested in this connection at Takatpur locality here today.

Sriharsh Swain, Superintendent of Excise, said the drug weighing about 475 grams was seized during a raid in a house.

Gobinda Paul (26) and his mother Sandhyarani Paul were arrested, he said.
