The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel today seized a Pakistani fishing boat from Padala creek near Kotheshwar, but the two fishermen on the boat managed to escape, officials said.

During patrolling along the Indo-Pak border in Kutch district, the BSF personnel found a fishing boat at Padala creek near Koteshwar in the Arabian Sea.

The two fishermen managed to escape as the BSF patrolling party approached the boat, the BSF officials said.

Fish and fishing equipments were seized from the boat, they said.

The BSF and Indian Coast Guard seize boats and sometimes even apprehend fishermen from the neighbouring country who enter the Indian waters of the Arabian Sea after crossing the International Maritime Border.

The Coast Guard had recently arrested six Pakistani nationals, along with a fishing boat, from the Indian waters.
