Canadian held with 5 bullets at IGI airport

A 60-year-old Canadianman was apprehended at the airport for allegedly carrying five live bullet rounds in his baggage, an said today.

A S Dhaliwal was intercepted by a who detected the bullets on the monitor last night while scanning the baggage at the (IGIA), he said.

Five bullets of .32-mm calibre were recovered from the passenger who had a Canadian passport and was travelling to in from here, the said.

"The man was not allowed to take the flight and was handed over to the police by the CISF authorities as he could not produce any documents for carrying the ammunition," he said.
