John Krasinski's "A Quiet Place" impressed Chris Pratt so much that he posted a video on his Instagram to rave about the thriller.

Krasinski has written, directed and stars in the film opposite real-life wife Emily Blunt.

"I know that I'm not supposed to be driving and shooting a video at the same time, but I'm stuck in traffic. I just got out of A Quiet Place you have to go see this movie! Just cancel your plans, stop what you're doing, and go to the movie theatre," Pratt says in the video.

"I cannot tell you how freaking dope that movie is. That will scare the c**p out of you. It's moving, it's inventive, it's unlike everything you've ever seen. Wow. I cannot endorse this movie enough. John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, two kids, freaky f**king monsters. You just gotta go see it."

The film earned the second-biggest debut of this year after "Black Panther".

Krasinski's Hollywood friends have taken to social media to praise the film.

Those who have praised the film include Elizabeth Banks, Ryan Reynolds, and the master of horror and supernatural thrillers, Stephen King.

"I've seen #AQuietPlace twice in one week. SEE THIS FILM! @johnkrasinski and #EmilyBlunt are my new parents. Congratulations, Ryan," Reynolds tweeted.

King called the film "extraordinary".

"A QUIET PLACE is an extraordinary piece of work. Terrific acting, but the main thing is the SILENCE, and how it makes the camera's eye open wide in a way few movies manage," King tweeted.

Banks called the film "awesome", "entertaining" and "emotional".

In a post apocalyptic world, a family learns to live in silence as making any sound attracts killer monsters.
