Cardamom up 1.1% on spot demand

Continuing its rising streak for the third day, cardamom prices moved up by 1.08% to Rs 925.90 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions amid strong domestic and export demand.
Besides, restricted arrivals from producing regions supported the upside.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in September advanced by Rs 9.90, or 1.08%, to Rs 925.90 per kg in a business turnover of 32 lots.
In a similar fashion, the spice for delivery in October gained Rs 4.10, or 0.44%, to Rs 928.10 per kg in 155 lots.
Market analysts said apart from strong domestic and export demand in the spot market, less arrivals from growing regions led to the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
