Cardamom prices eased by 0.17 per cent to Rs 718.90 per kg in futures market today as traders trimmed positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand.
In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May shed Rs 1.20, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 718.90 per kg in 69 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants coupled with low demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions led to the decline in cardamom prices at futures trade.
