Cardamom prices today rose by Rs 10.10 or 1.39 per cent to Rs 733.50 per kg in futures market after speculators strengthened positions supported by good buying in the spot markets.
Sentiment improved further as a result of firm demand in the domestic spot market against restricted arrivals from producing belts too supported the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in April rose by Rs 10.10 or 1.39 per cent to Rs 733.50 per kg in a business turnover of 250 lots.

In a similar fashion, spice for delivery in March gained Rs 7.30 or 1.00 per cent to Rs 732.50 per kg in 6 lots.
Market analysts said besides rise in demand in the spot markets, tight supplies from producing regions mainly helped cardamom prices to trade higher at futures trade.
