Case lodged against unknown persons for 'slaughtering' cows: Police

A case of cow slaughter was lodged against unknown persons after skulls of three cows were found in a sugarcane field, police said on Wednesday.

Tilhar Circle officer M S Rawat said, "Skulls of three cows were found in a sugarcane field in Abhaypur village in the district. Beef and cow hide (skin) were also recovered. The skulls were buried after testing there itself."

He added that a case has been registered in this regard against unknown persons.
