CCTV cameras will be installed at all accredited ultrasound centres here in accordance with the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act to curb female foeticide.
Jind deputy commissioner Vinay Singh today said 39 ultrasound centres have been accredited in the district, with six being non-functional.
All the entrances of these centres and the entrance of the ultrasound cabin will be monitored through the cameras, Singh told the district task force during a meeting.

Additionally, a list of all the accredited centres has been issued and a record of people visiting the centres will be maintained, he said.
The district administration has started conducting raids at ultrasound centres and medical stores to curb female foeticide, he said.
Meanwhile, a medical store in Dadrath village here was raided and three abortion kits recovered, police said.
