Stating this here after meeting newly elected Ludhiana Mayor Harcharan Singh, Badal questioned the rationale of capping the limit of LPG cylinders to six and raising the price of diesel by Rs 5 per litre.

"With global crude price dipping and all countries reducing the rates of petroleum products, India is the only country in the world which is raising the price of diesel," Badal said.

He said that Centre cannot disown its liabilities and transfer them to states without raising their share in the taxes.

"Let the Centre increase the share of Punjab in central taxes from 1.32 per cent to minimum 20 per cent and we are ready to provide 12 subsidized cylinders to every family in Punjab," Badal said.

On a question regarding FDI, the deputy chief minister claimed that a "minority government that was in ICU" has no right to take any major decision.
