Chikka lies sixth in Kings Cup on Asian Tour

India's S Chikkrangappa put himself in good position to launch a challenge for his maiden Asian tour title as he added a third successive 68 to move to six-under and tied sixth place at the King's Cup golf tournament, here today.
Chikka, who has two Asian Development Tour titles is the best Indian, while Jeev Milkha Singh (71-67-67) was tied ninth and Gaganjeet Bhullar (65-72-69) was tied 11th.
Chiragh Kumar (67-70-72) and Olympic bound SSP Chawrasia (70-69-70) were tied 35th. Shiv Kapur (72-67-73) was tied 62nd and Shubhankar Sharma (69-72-73) was tied 77th.

Chinese Taipei's Chan Shih-Chang fired a sizzling seven-under-par 63 to snatch the outright lead after the third round of the King's Cup presented by PTT Group.
Chan's three-day total of nine-under-par 201 moved him ahead of the chasing pack and brought him closer to his dream of winning his maiden Asian Tour title at the Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club.
England's Eddie Pepperell matched Chan's effort but stayed a shot back in second place with South Africa's Jaco Ahlers after they returned with matching 202 total.
France's Lionel Weber together with England's Mark Foster shared fourth place on 203 while overnight leader Terry Pilkadaris of Australia slipped to a share of sixth place with Chinese Taipei's Lin Wen-Tang and Chikka following a 71.
