The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and the Indian Medical Association (IMA) today signed an agreement to promote organ donation in Goa.
CII's Young Indians and IMA's Goa Chapter signed an MoU in presence of Assembly Speaker Pramod Sawant to develop a joint action plan for better planning and implementation of the organ donation initiative.
"This is going to be a great boost for the purpose of organ donation. We have themed the entire initiative of slogan 'Keep Giving Carry on Living'," IMA Goa Chapter president Medha Salkar told reporters.
She said a joint action plan would be developed between the CII Young Indians and the IMA for creating awareness on the issue.
CII Young Indians' Goa Chapter chairman Rupesh Gauns said the initiative had been successful in other states.
