Circle Officer found dead

A Circle Officer was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his official house in Bihar's Kishanganj district today, a police officer said.

Kishanganj Superintendent of Police Rajiv Ranjan said that Kochadhaman Circle Officer Vibhu Vishwanath was found hanging from a beam beneath the roof and his body was draped in blood-soaked clothes.

No suicide note was found from the spot and the body had been sent for post-mortem. A forensic team from Patna was on its way to the place, Ranjan said.

A native of Purnia district, Vishwanath had taken charge on May 15 last, Ranjan said adding he was staying alone in the house.
