Chief Justice of India Rajendra Mal Lodha today offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at nearby Tirumala today.
Justice Lodha, accompanied by wife Sudha and other family members, arrived here this afternoon and offered prayers to the presiding deity.
After overnight stay on the hills, he would again worship the Lord tomorrow morning, temple sources told PTI.
The CJI, who is to retire on September 27 after a brief five-month tenure, and his family spent about 20 minutes in the temple and were presented with holy laddu prasadam, sacred water and a photo of Lord Venkateswara by the temple management.
