At least five terrorists and one soldier were killed today in clashes between security forces and militants in Pakistan's restive northwest tribal region near Afghan border, the military said today.
The clashes ensued in Dattakhel area of the North Waziristan agency where military has launched a major offensive against militants. The exchange of fire claimed the lives of five militants and one officer.
Authorities, meanwhile, imposed curfew for indefinite period in the agency and officials have warned the tribesmen to remain in their homes.
