A 13-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped when she was on her way to school today morning, police said.
The girl, a student of class IX, was going to school around 9 AM when she was abducted by three motorcycle-borne youths, Circle Officer of Police Rajesh Chaudhary said, adding that they raped her in an isolated place.
The incident came to light after she was spotted in an agricultural field by locals on Agra Road, where the accused had left her after committing the crime, he said.
An FIR has been lodged after a medical examination of the girl, he said.
One of the accused was known to the victim and a manhunt has been launched to nab him and his associates.
