Press Trust of India Ballia (UP)
A three-member committee has been set up to probe the deaths of three newborns at a community health centre here in Bansdeeh area.

Three women - Shubhawati Devi, Sunti Devi and Babli - were admitted at the centre where their newborns died due to negligence, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Arvind Kumar Rai said.

The deliveries were done by Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) and not by a doctor, Rai said.

After the deaths of the newborns, the family members created ruckus demanding action in the matter, the SDM said.

Chief Medical Officer P K Singh said that a three-member committee has been constituted to probe the matter.
