Scores of Congress supporters today held a demonstration outside the DPCC office here in protest against the party's decision to extend outside support to Aam Aadmi Party as it looks to form the government in Delhi.

The protesters raised slogans demanding immediate withdrawal of support to AAP.

Congress had last week written to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung about its willingness to offer support to AAP so that the burden of fresh elections was not put on the people of Delhi.

But it is learnt that a number of senior Delhi Congress leaders are unhappy over the party's decision to support AAP.

Newly-appointed DPCC chief Arvinder Singh Lovely, too, has come down hard on AAP, charging it with making derogatory remarks against Congress.

Sources said there is growing resentment among Congress workers over the way AAP has been attacking the party.

AAP today told the Lt Governor that it was ready to form the government in Delhi with support from Congress.
