Congress today accused state Industry Minister Gajendra Singh of "promoting" alcohol by making remarks against the possibility of enforcing liquor ban in the state, a charge denied by the minister.
Singh had yesterday, in reply to a question on banning liquor in the state, asked how one could be stopped from smoking and eating non-vegetarian food.
"How can you stop any one from smoking or eating non-vegetarian food? Law and order should be strong," he said when a reporter sought his opinion on feasibility of complete liquor ban in the state.
